The Elementary First Aid (EFA) course is a core component of the STCW Basic Safety Training, required for all seafarers working at sea. This e-learning module equips you with the knowledge and basic skills necessary to respond effectively to medical emergencies on board.

- Total Duration: 1 day
- E-Learning Component: Approximately 9 hours
📘 Course Content:
- Principles of first aid and initial assessment
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED usage
- Bleeding control and wound care
- Burns, fractures, and shock management
- Transporting injured persons safely
- Basic anatomy and recognizing common medical emergencies
📝 Assessment:
- Format: Multiple choice quiz at the end of the course
- Number of Questions: 30
- Time Limit: 30 minutes
- Passing Score: 50% (i.e., at least 15 correct answers)
- Unlimited attempts allowed to support learning
✅ Certification:
After passing the assessment, learners will receive a Course Completion Certificate, fulfilling the EFA training requirement under STCW Regulation VI/1 and Section A-VI/1.
